Review Your Subscriptions Every Month

Video and music platforms, applications, cloud storage, the gym, some free trial that turned into a paid service... Small, automatic charges are convenient, but also very easy to forget.

Choose a Fixed Day

Mark a day on your calendar each month to review your subscriptions. For example, the first Sunday of every month. Ten minutes is usually enough.

How to Do the Review

  • Go over your bank or card statement from the last month.
  • Make a list with each service, its amount, and its renewal date.
  • Ask yourself for each one: Have I used it lately? Will I use it this month?
  • Look for duplicate services (two similar platforms, two cloud storage accounts).

If You Decide to Cancel

  • Review the cancellation or pause conditions for each service before the next renewal.
  • Some allow you to pause the subscription for a few months instead of canceling it.
  • Save the cancellation confirmation.

It's Not About Getting Rid of Everything

Many subscriptions are worth it. The review helps ensure that each one is a conscious decision and not a charge that goes unnoticed.

Keep Everything in View

Maurvia helps you keep your recurring expenses visible alongside all other household expenses, so you can make informed decisions.

Guidance only. Always check each product's label and your appliance manufacturer's manual.
