Bake multiple dishes in one oven session
By the Maurvia team · October 13, 2026 · 1 min read · Energy
Turning on the oven for just one small tray is very common. If you're going to heat it up anyway, it's worth making the most of the session and preparing several things at once.
Group by temperature
Look for preparations that share a similar temperature. For example:
- Roasted vegetables for several days.
- A fish or meat for a meal.
- A cake or cookies for an afternoon snack.
- Potatoes or sweet potatoes as a side dish.
Organize trays and times
- Start with what needs the most time.
- Add or remove trays as each preparation is ready.
- If two dishes need different temperatures, start with the lower temperature and raise it afterward.
Consult your manual
Not all ovens work the same way. Check the manual to see if you can use multiple racks at once and with what function (for example, convection). Keep in mind that odors can mix between some preparations.
Open the door only as much as needed
Every time you open the door, heat escapes. Use the oven light to look and open it only when necessary.
Plan your week
One oven session can solve several meals. Planning your week this way also makes it easier to log your purchases in Maurvia.
Guidance only. Always check each product's label and your appliance manufacturer's manual.
